What is one's true nature? - Joy, Happiness, Bliss!! Anything that gives us joy, we dwell on it and anything that creates distress, we stay away from that!
Let us hold onto that bliss and start our journey into mudras!!

Formation of the universe - the Pancha mahabhootas - Panchikarana - Big Bang - light, heat and sound, and then, therefrom space, air, fire, water, earth - grossest to subtlest in that order.
Quintuplication – five-fold – fission and fusion - Quantum physics – Panchi karana – Big Bang theory. Prapancha, Bhuta Bhautika, (Vatapi ganapathim song - anu pallavi reference)
Concept of Panchatvam Gathaha - meaning death - actual meaning merging into the 5 elements.
Brahmanda and Pindanda (Macrocosm and Microcosm)
And so the statement - Pancha bhootatmakam idam shareeram| Pancha bhootatmakam idam jagat||

Pancha Bhootha in our body
1) Earth - muscles, tissues, organs, etc.
2) Water - All the fluids in the body
3) Fire - Food from earth invokes fire energy
4) Air - Breath
5) Space - We connect with space when we sleep.

Why Mudras?

To stay with the self and heal the self by the self, thus taking that first step towards the divine.
Let us take a look at the meaning of svastha -
Sva meaning "self"; stha meaning "staying" (as in sat-chit-anand).
So svastha literally means "staying in the self"!
Any deviation from that leads to misalignment with the universe and so roga(disease) emerges.

Imbalance in Macrocosm Vs Microcosm – An analysis

Alignment with cosmic Geometry - Trikarana Shuddhi (oneness in thought, word and action)

MudrasMudra = Mudh - delight or pleasure or bliss + Dravay - to draw forth
Fingers of our hands are a divine pharmacy by itself. All the gifts of nature like mountains, rivers, fresh air, space etc. are available at our finger tips also. These fingers act as switch for controlling the Bio-electric circuit – Human body emits electro-magnetic waves creating an energy body called aura brightness – neural – electric impulses – yin, yang and chi – similar to ida, pingala and sushoomna – prana going around healing the body.

This bio-electric energy escapes from the body outwards through nose, lips, ears, fingers and toes.
Man is capable of enormous energy and is capable of calling upon the universal energy too, that too at his finger tips.
